During the postpartum phase, it’s crucial to nourish your body with high-quality nutrition as your body rests and recovers. And if you are breastfeeding your new baby, it’s important to get plenty of nutrients both for you and your little one.

Below is a list of our blends that are considered to be breastfeeding-safe, as well as safe for the postpartum period. You will find blends that not only encourage milk production but provide nutrients to you and your growing baby. We encourage you to play around with different recipes and find what works best for you and your body!

Everyone’s postpartum and breastfeeding journey (as well as health history) is different, so we always advise that you discuss any product use with your healthcare provider, especially after giving birth and while nursing.

Milky Way

Milky Way was formulated with nutrient-dense herbs to support you, your baby, and a healthy milk supply. Moringa and nettle leaf have been used for thousands of years as galactagogue herbs to increase milk supply, while also giving your body a quick hit of nutrients such as calcium, iron, vitamin C, potassium, and essential vitamins. Not only do these green herbs promote overall health, but the immune-strengthening properties of nettle and moringa can help to prevent common breastfeeding infections like mastitis. This blend can also be used even if you are not breastfeeding, however, it is recommended that you wait until your milk supply slows down before consuming!

How to enjoy: This blend has a similar taste to matcha, so blending it with milk (plant or dairy), raw honey, and vanilla is an amazing way to enjoy this blend.

I Beg Your (Post)partum

This blend was specifically formulated with herbs to nourish a postpartum body. This blend is great when paired alongside Milky Way for extra nutrients to augment healing. Jujube date can calm and promote restful sleep at a time when you need it most. Beetroot assists by increasing blood volume, providing antioxidants, and reducing inflammation. Goji berry can increase energy levels over time and gently work to restore hormonal balance. Collectively, these herbs work in harmony to nourish you and your growing baby.

How to enjoy: This blend can be mixed into hot water for a quick and supportive tonic.

Shatavari

Not only is Shatavari great at increasing lactation, but it is also an adaptogenic herb that is known to balance the female reproductive system. During the postpartum period, especially while breastfeeding, your hormones are known to fluctuate. Shatavari can work as a balancing herb to bring harmony back into your hormones.

How to enjoy this herb: Shatavari is both bitter and sweet and can pair really well with cinnamon, nut butter, or your favorite milk.

Ashwagandha

This well-known adaptogenic herb is known for its ability to help us adapt to stress, but did you also know that it can increase milk supply? When used consistently, Ashwagandha helps to bring balance and calmness to life’s daily stressors.

How to enjoy: This herb can be enjoyed any time of day in a variety of foods and beverages.  We like it mixed into nut butter!

Releaf

Releaf was formulated with immune-strengthening herbs to combat colds, flus, and times when you feel under the weather. Schisandra berry and elderberry both contain a hefty amount of vitamin C to support and strengthen your immune system. Releaf is also formulated with clove and ginger to add a warming feeling that also aids digestion.

How to enjoy this blend: This blend can be mixed with raw honey and hot water for a quick immune boost.

Chill the F* Out

This blend features ashwagandha and reishi mushroom. Like ashwagandha, reishi is an adaptogen. When used consistently, these two powerhouse adaptogens can bring calmness and balance to your life. It is also worth noting that this blend contains raw cacao and peppermint. Peppermint can reduce your milk supply for some if it is not established. It is only recommended to use this blend when you have a steady milk supply!

How to enjoy this blend: We like to prepare this with warm milk and cacao for an herbal hot chocolate.

Follow Your Gut

If you want something a bit more targeted for sluggish digestion and inflammation support, Follow Your Gut is your new BFF.
Formulated with turmeric, black pepper, cayenne, astragalus, and ginger, these warming herbs are fantastic at gently supporting digestion by keeping things moving. Warming spices like these feel warm in our bodies, so it’s the perfect blend for those colder months or when you want to feel cozy.

How to enjoy: We love preparing this blend as a golden milk latte or by mixing it into food — it makes a great addition to a savory salad dressing.
